Katherine Miles Jones is a professional photographer and creative consultant. With over fifteen years of experience behind the lens, she captures visual stories that freeze a moment in time.

Always drawn to storytelling, Katherine’s journey started when studying theatre and art history in Southern California. Photography was a natural progression as it combines the movement and direction of theatre with the composition and color of studying art. Furthering her studies at the International Center of Photography in New York City, Katherine’s photography career was launched at a commercial photography studio in Manhattan where she assisted on set for ad campaigns and magazine editorials.

Katherine honed her eye for visual direction as Art Director at a lifestyle website, and subsequently sharpened her abilities for fast-paced logistics as an assistant producer at the award winning production company, Warrior Poets (NYC). Most recently, Katherine led brand collaborations for Spoonflower (Durham, NC), a Shutterfly-owned company, managing client relations and creative directing collaborative campaigns.

Currently, Katherine is focusing on family portraits, brand photography and styling, and creative consulting. She lives in Carrboro, NC, with her husband, two children, and dog.
